Nic's development tweets

I tweet a lot about the development of Fringe Planet - as well as talking about game development in general. Twitter is fantastic for getting the message out, but tweets always slowly fade out of view as time goes past. So I've decided to add this section to the website, which contains everything I've tweeted. You'll find a lot of information about both me personally as well as the game.

Good morning folks, Happy Thursday :-) Hope you are all doing well. I've got a fresh cuppa and I'm ready to face the day - what are you folks up to today? #gamedev

(the other pictures are the failures btw, it's not some weird eldritch bread-shape-changing-entity)

After much experimentation, I've finally got a gluten free breadmaker recipe working :-) It's been a long road with a lot of accidental cakes (and during the pandemic, not the easiest ingredients to source) - it's finally edible in bread form :-D

I am a professional #unity #gamedev - part 180 :

Managed to once again almost deafen myself. This time with feedback from testing Project X on my development machine and laptop at the same time sitting on the same desk, while playing music. I am not a smart man.

So with the pubs re-opening in the UK this weekend - are you planning on grabbing a pint from your local?

Just got an email address set up by the client for Project X. It's my tradition when getting a new address to send "Test" and reply to it from another email. It's email, logically I know it will work, but still have to do this. But the big question is - do I trust myself? :-)

- The problem, simply stated:
A two hour meeting

- The problem, in detail:
A cup of tea will never last 2 hours around me. And without tea I may go into withdrawal. It's an important meeting so I can't miss anything to make additional tea

- The solution:
A thermos of tea :-)

Good morning everyone! Hope you are all doing well. I've got a big day ahead of meeting, a couple of meetings about Project X and some TODOs to scribble out - what are you up to today folks? #gamedev

Wow, six pm already - I didn't notice the time pass. Crazy :-) But it's been a very productive day - so yay :-) Been working on something which has turned out to be surprisingly hypnotising (which may explain where the time has gone) #gamedev

Better put some trousers on... #gamedev

Ironically, it was #AsteroidDay when the silent, mile long rock completed it's trip towards the little blue marble it had been hurtling towards for hundreds of years. Screaming through the atmosphere, leaving trails of fire in it's wake, it hit the ground, finally ending 2020 :-)

So with #covid19uk the council stopped collecting the glass recycling, which means the entire neighbourhood looks like they have a serious case of alcoholism. But it looks like things are starting to return to normal :-)
