Nic's development tweets

I tweet a lot about the development of Fringe Planet - as well as talking about game development in general. Twitter is fantastic for getting the message out, but tweets always slowly fade out of view as time goes past. So I've decided to add this section to the website, which contains everything I've tweeted. You'll find a lot of information about both me personally as well as the game.

If you are feeling unfashionable and you are in a desperate need to update your wardrobe - why not check out the @FringePlanet merch store? With my incredible clothing design skills, you'll be the most fashionable person in your town! https://teespring.com/stores/fringe-planet

Good morning folks and a happy Friday to one and all, I've been wrestling with the garden this AM, which has been fairly exhausting :-) Now it's time to commence the #gamedev :-)

(p.s. I almost didn't RT it - but some messages are important, safety over memes)

(p.p.s. wear a mask folks)

So, apparently we are living in the future <3 <3 <3

Good morning folks and happy Thursday :-) Wishing you all the best of luck with all your endeavours today :-) The tea is ready, let's #gamedev :-)

Little #gamedev tip - I'm switching a lot between two different languages at the moment (c# and php) and been getting a lot of micropauses while I ponder such deep questions as do I need to start a variable with a $ or if I need to use . or + for string concatenation...

... simple fix - c# is using a dark theme in the IDE, php I'm now editing with a light themed IDE... micropauses are gone :-) I don't have an opinion on dark vs light themes, but this has certainly made my life easier :-)

Gulliver (my cat) just looked at me while sitting on my office desk and pushed my mouse off it in quite a deliberate fashion - I'm unsure if this is the beginning of the cat uprising oO

Starving time for lunch methinks - what are you folks munching on today? anything tasty?

My apologies, I see I'm a couple of years too late for the hashtag - my bad :-)

You need more than 32k of memory to store an entire 3d universe for a game (8 galaxies of 256 planets each, still blows my mind) #gamedev #elite #ThingsWeDidntSayIn1982 #procgen
